Ziplining in Alaska
On our trip to Alaska we decided to try ziplining. Originally our entire group was going to go (except Tommy who was going to take advantage of a whole day napping on deck!). Unfortunately our group of 14 was too big. Carl had done ziplining before so he offered to choose a different activity so I could go. I was not too sure but peer pressure set in and I agreed. We spent two hours in the gorgeous Alaskan wilderness. It was an unusually warm day in the high 70s. Our guides, from the Alaska Mountain Guides and Climbing School, Inc. were the absolute best! They were so patient with us, working closely with several of us who were terrified at the idea of jumping off a platform 80 feet in the air. One thought kept running through my mind though. WHAT AM I DOING?????
