Last days of summer vacation

Summer vacation has officially ended for us even though it's only the end of July. This summer was so very different for me. Instead of the usual 5 to 8 days I usually had, I enjoyed a full month off. Since we are planning a family vacation in October I used the time to enjoy some day trips as well as the luxury of lazy mornings where I sometimes didn't get out of my jammies until late in the morning!
We went to zoos, aquariums, museums, baseball games, farmers market, movies, , reading, hung out with friends and family, and I even spent one week at Girls Camp. Terry enjoyed spending some of his time at Day Camp which he absolutely loved.
There were several things that I had planned on doing but they didn't get done. But they were totally uninspired things like cleaning the garage (It was way too hot for this project), painting my bedroom (I was way too lazy for this project), school shopping (I'll be cramming this in on Monday!), and starting an exercise program (Okay, this one needs no explanation if you know me at all).
While some of my friends had exotic summers to places like China, Tanzania, and even Oshkosh, Minnesota I travelled to Aptos, Monterey, Stockton, Sierraville and Milpitas. But I loved every minute of it (Well, except for dentist appointment day!) and I'm looking forward to October when I'll get my first two week vacation of the new school year.
I'm making plans already!
